I think I took five minutes to choose my all time XI. The only
positions it took me longer to think about were one of the central
defender slots and a midfielder slot (because I had various ideas in
my mind). There’s a lot of quality going about just now, but I’ve
stuck in some players who are likely to be in everyone else’s
selections but also a few surprises given that I’m playing a 4-3-3
(the Barcelona way).

I’ve chosen my perfect XI based on the players and moments that made me love the game. The World Cup France 1998 turned a passing interest into an unbridled love affair that has only grown ever since. The footballing superstars of the early 2000’s and onwards also played a big part in shaping this team. So, with that in mind you can expect a fairly modern lineup and this XI is modelled on a diamond formation. Here is my perfect team.
