But hard luck to Craig Levin’s men who got heavily beaten by the USA. Also congratulations to Huddersfield on reaching the Championship after a game that went all the way against Sheffield United. We start today with news that Sir Alex Ferguson is poised to make a move for £4m-rated Crewe starlet Nick Powell, 18, after the League 2 play-off final against Cheltenham later today. Belgian international Eden Hazard who is wanted by Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, has decided to join The Red Devils according to sources in France. Hazard, 21, has already confirmed he is on his way to the Premier League after a fine season in Ligue 1 with Lille.
Arsenal, Tottenham and QPR are all on red alert after Alessandro Del piero admitted he’ll never join another Serie A side. The Juventus legend’d last game for the Old Lady was a 2-0 loss to Napoli in the Coppa Italia Final earlier this month. Nicklas Bendtner claims to have received a number of approaches for his services, but no decision will be made on his future until after Euro 2012

Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen has issued a warning to Tottenham to act quickly to acquire his services or risk missing out o North London rivals Arsenal who are monitoring the situation closely.

Newcastle face a battle with Porto to sign £3G rated FC Twente right-back Roberto Rosales, 23, according to the Venezuela internationals agent. Magpies boss Alan Pardew is believed to have identified the signing of a right-back as one of his priorities for the summer as doubts continue to surround the future of Danny Simpson.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is set to show his ruthless streak by releasing his son Andrea, 19. Striker Edin Dzeko will stay at Manchester City as he still has unfinished business at the Etihad Stadium. Dzeko faces serious competition to get into the squad next season, let alone the first team, if manager Roberto Mancini buys players like Robin van Persie.

In managerial news, Real Madrid chief Jose Mourihnio has again hinted that he could return to England soon despite penning a new contract with the Spanish champions. Former Chelsea boss signed a deal to keep him in the Primera Division until 2016 even though he continued to flirt with a possible move back to the Premier League. Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is set to make one last attempt to lure outgoing Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola to Stamford Bridge.

Newly promoted West Ham have made a £7m offer for Heerenveen striker Bas Dost, 22, who scored 32 goals in 34 appearances for his club last season.

Everton have opened talks with Norwegian club Lillestrom to sign Icelandic striker Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson, 21, in a deal worth up to £3m.

Tony Pulis wants to sign Matt Jarvis, 26, although Stoke value the player at only half the £10m Wolves want for the winger. The Potters boss also has no plans to cash in on Robert Huth and is hoping the defender can be persuaded to prolong his association with Stoke.
