Well with another week just starting it draws us one week closer to the European Championships and the Olympics after all that excitement dies down we will be closer to the big kick off and regular football every week. I know I am excited about it already. Well with all that said its time to look at what deals could be struck during the transfer window.

Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric, 26, is prepared to hand in a transfer request after the club were denied a place in the Champions League. Spurs duo Louis Saha and Steven Pienaar have been labelled a “disgrace” by the clubs fans after they congratulated Chelsea on their Champions League win, adding further speculation that the pair may be on the way out of White Hart Lane. Emmanuel Adebayor has confirmed he is holding talks with chairman Daniel Levy over making a permanent move to Spurs. Adebayor speaking on Twitter said “Loved my spell at Tottenham. We are working hard with the chairman to make it permanent. Will keep you informed”.
Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov has hit out at boss Sir Alex Ferguson for his limited playing time this season, edging the Bulgarian closer to the Old Trafford exit door. Broussia Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke has made it clear that the Bundesliga champions will not allow attacking midfielder Shinji Kagawa to leave for Manchester United on the cheap this summer.
In managerial news Manchester City are set to reward manager Roberto Mancini with a new 3-year contract worth £15m. Ajax boss Frank de Boer has ruled himself out of the running to take over as Liverpool manager, insisting he wants to remain in Amsterdam. Dider Deschamps has also distanced himself from speculation linking him with the vacant Anfield hot seat.
Striker Darren Bent believes Aston Villa have to be adventures with their next managerial appointment in order to help the club move forward.
Everton are set to rival Wolves for £4m rated Icelandic international striker Bjorn Bergmann Siguradarson. New Molineux boss Stale Solbakken know all about 21-year old Siguardson who has scored 11 goals in just 10 games for Norwegian club Lillestrom this season.

And we end today on the continent Valencia and Bayern Munich face a major battle to sign French defender Mathieu Debuchy after Lille coach Rudi Garcia revealed he expects him to stay at the club. Debuchy, 26, is rated one of the best right backs in the French League and has been one of the star performers for Lille this season. Fiorentina want to swap young play maker Adem Ljajic for Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh, according to reports in Italy. Fiorentina’s chief scout Eduardo Macia has identified the Morocco international as the man to reinvigorate the club’s forward line. Bayern Munich are also ready to make a move for Manchester United target Javi Martinez. The 23-year old Spanish international has been in top form for Athletic Bilbao this season. Real Madrid want Manchester City’s star midfielder David Silva, according to reports in Spain. Sports paper AS reckons the former Valencia star is now Jose Mourinho’s top transfer target this summer.
