Today’s instalment begins at White Hart Lane and full back Benoit Assou-Ekotto has denied reports he has a “gentleman’s agreement” with chairman Daniel Levy to leave the club this summer.
Meanwhile North London rivals Arsenal are keen to hijack Ajax star Jan Vertonghen’s proposed move to Spurs. The Gunners are interested in the services of the Belgian and are ready to go head to head with their bitter rivals for his signature. Its reported that the Emirates side have agreed a fee of around £17m with Rennes for anchorman Yann  M’Vila. Arsenal’s spending spree could continue with the acquisition of Swansea goalkeeper Michel Vorm. The Gunners are also on the trail of Sunderland midfielder Stephane Sessegnon  according to reports in France. French newspaper L’Equipe claims that Arsene Wenger is keen to bring the Benin international to North London.
Manchester United are lining up a sensational move for Arsenal skipper Robin van Persie. Reports suggest United have already sounded out the possibility of van Persie making a switch to Old Trafford, and are prepared to splash out big on the former Feyenoord man. The Red Devil’s could also make a move for Udinese’s Kwadwo Asamoah this summer. The midfielder is on current Premier League champions radar, with Sir Alex Ferguson committed to reinvigorating his squad this summer.
Newcastle striker Pappis Cisse has revealed that he aims to move to a bigger club in the future, with Real Madrid his preferred choice. The 26-year old has caught the eye of many after notching 13 goals in his first 13 games for the Tyneside club. The Magpies are lining up a move for exciting Ajax left back Nicolai Boilesen who was wanted by Manchester United and Chelsea when he was 17. The Denmark international had a spell training with United while with Danish side Brondby and spent a week in Newcastle.
Off to the continent now and Lille attacker Eden Hazard, 21, has dropped the biggest hint yet about his preferred Premier League destination. The Belgian has declared that he will “definitely” be wearing blue next season. Former Liverpool defender Mikel San Jose says he has no intention of leaving Athletic Bilbao for Tottenham. The defender signed during Rafa Benitez’s tenure of Liverpool, failed to make a single league appearance for The Reds during his three years at Anfield. Lucas Biglia has ended his silence over his future and the Arsenal target says he wants to move to Real Madrid. The Anderlecht midfielder, 26, is coveted by clubs across Europe and will leave the Belgian side this summer after 6 years.
On to managerial news now and former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss Claudio Ranieri is the latest name to be linked with the soon to be vacant West Brom job.
In other domestic news West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green is ready to swap Championship for Champions League with a move to Spanish side Malaga.
Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has identified 19-year old Wolves midfielder Karl Henry as the man to add experience to his side in the summer.
Stoke are ready to make a £4m swoop for Swedish defender Martin Olsson, 23, who is likely to leave Blackburn following their relegation to the Championship. Canadian forward Junior Hoillett, 21, another player set to depart Ewood Park, has been targeted by Sunderland.
